Mindful Moments

Mindful moments throughout the day allow children to regulate their emotions, calm their mind and body and process their day. After the children are familiar with these activities and techniques it enables them to have a greater sense of agency over their bodies and begins to develop a lifelong mindful toolbox they are able to use as needed.

Below I have included many of the ‘mindful moments’ I introduce to my Kindergarten class at the start of each year. Some will connect with these very quickly and immediately feel the benefits, however some children will take longer to feel confident with something new and will need to be offered the same activity multiple times.
